Shield is not just another window system, but the Shield brand is the umbrella to many products.
The success of the individual parts combining together to provide the much greater success of all components working in harmony.The Shield brand first appeared on the market in 1999 with the Shield 70mm fully chamfered window system. Then only 18 months later the Shield umbrella benefitted from the introduction of the Shield In-Line patio door system – a product which was independently assessed as the best patio door system on the market. Window systems had been successful before, and they had had good patio systems. However, Shield then went one step further, a step never done before, and launched its own suited conservatory roof product – all of which combining to make the first ever truly complete conservatory product.

The Shield window suite is Synseal’s fully chamfered 70mm window suite. Since its launch in 1999, it has established itself as the UK’s most popular window and door system.
Suited with its own award winning in-line sliding patio door system, the much acclaimed high gloss finish, and the ease of installation have been some of the key contributors to Shield being fabricated by more fabricators in Great Britain than any other window system.

The Shield Conservatory roof was introduced to the market in 2001, exclusively to fabricators of Synseal PVCu window profiles.
Within 9 months not only had the complete conservatory concept attracted in excess of 90% penetration with Synseal profile customer base, but was also attracting window fabricators of other profile systems to change window system to get their hands on the complete conservatory product.
